2024 Miss Okefenokee Pageant - Rules & Regulations
- The pageant will be conducted under the rules and regulations established by the Miss Okefenokee Pageant directors, and contestants and/or parents/guardians agree to abide by these rules now in effect or announced thereafter. The judges' decision will be final.
- All contestants must be of good moral character, act ladylike, shall not have been convicted of any crimes, and must have never been married or pregnant. All contestants must be female.
- This is a semi-natural pageant—not a glitz pageant. Age-appropriate pageant dresses are recommended. Makeup and hairstyles should also be age-appropriate. Please, no flippers or hairpieces for participants 12 years or younger.
- On the day of the pageant, contestants will compete in the appropriate age division. If disputed, a birth certificate must be provided.
- Each age division must have at least 3 contestants, or the division may be combined or canceled; money will be refunded if canceled.
- No refunds will be issued under any circumstances unless the pageant should be canceled and not rescheduled.
- CONTESTANTS ONLY BACKSTAGE! Exception: two (2) adults per contestant under four years old. All other age groups will be allowed one adult female (a designated area for male escorts will be provided). Pageant workers will supervise contestants until age division is complete and parents pick up their child. This will be strictly enforced.
- Division Queens may not enter The Miss Okefenokee Pageant in the same age division again but may move to another age group if age requirements are met. They cannot crown and compete in the same year/division.
- Most Photogenic competition photos and program book photos must be turned in with the application and fees. Only 4x6, 5x7, or 8x10 pictures will be judged. The contestant's name and division should be on the picture back. Photos will be returned to the People’s Choice Table on the day of the pageant.
- Should there be any problem during the pageant or related events, the contestant is to report the problem directly to a staff member and report the problem. Any unruly, unsportsmanlike, or unbecoming conduct by a contestant or any other member of her entourage or any disregard for the rules and regulations of this pageant could result in immediate dismissal from the competition without a refund. Parents, due to liability issues, you must have your child under control while on stage.
